Boone boys open season at Webster City

 The Boone boys’ cross country team competed in the purple division at the Lynx Invitational hosted by Webster City, Tuesday, September 2, placing 7th out of 8 teams with a total of 198 points.

The Boone boys’ cross country team competed in the purple division at the Lynx Invitational hosted by Webster City, Tuesday, September 2, placing 7th out of 8 teams with a total of 198 points.  

The meet featured strong competition, including a dominant performance from Gilbert, who took first place with a perfect score of 15. 

Dorian Myers led the Toreadors with a solid run, finishing 24th overall in 19:00.49. 

Kam Lehman and Simon Enabnit ran closely together, placing 40th (20:32.06) and 41st (20:35.07) respectively. 

Owen Hill crossed the line in 45th place (21:06.99), followed by Pearson Lampe in 52nd (22:44.34) and Wyatt Johnson in 54th (23:33.63).

Boone will return to action on Thursday, September 11, traveling to the Iowa State University Cross Country Course for a large meet hosted by Gilbert.

Previous: Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, speaks about the Boone City Council Meeting held Tuesday, due to the Labor Day Holiday. Stines addressed the Council’s decision not to vacate a portion of the alleyway in the 900 Block of 8th Street and look for a possible alternative.
