The Boone boys’ soccer team closed out its 2026 season Tuesday, May 19, falling to Carlisle 10-0 in the opening round of Class 3A substate play.
Goalkeeper Lincoln Buchwald made 10 saves for 50 percent save rate.
Season wrap-up
The loss brings Boone’s season to an end at 0-17.
On the offensive side, Owen Hill, Cole Plymesser, Sawyer Kruckenberg, and Tristan Bierwagen each recorded a goal.
Ethan Ward and Bierwagen added 1 assist each.
Buchwald’s finished with 109 saves and a 60.5 percent save percentage over 941 minutes of play.
In addition, Hill also was goalkeeper earlier in the season.
He totaled 39 saves in 270 minutes, finishing with a 51.2 percent save rate.
