Boone boys swimmers beat Spencer

The Boone boys’ swim team hosted Spencer and won, 50.5 to 43.5, Tuesday, January 21, at Boone.

The Boone boys’ swim team hosted Spencer and won, 50.5 to 43.5, Tuesday, January 21, at Boone. 

Four individuals won events for Boone. 

Chase Mueller won the 100 fly in 1:00.07, and Carson Muggenberg won the 100 free in 49.84. 

Additionally, Isaac Clark won the 100 IM in 2:07.38, and Warren Williams won the 50 free in 22.31. 

The 200 yard free relay of Calvin Cook, Cooper Santi, Carden Nerem and Carson Muggenberg tied with Spencer for 1st in 1:36.47. 

The 200 yard medley relay of Santi, Addison Blackman, Mueller and Mason McClain placed 2nd in 1:55.36, and the 400 free relay of Clark, Simon Enabnit, Muggerberg and Asher Powell also placed 2nd in 3:41.86. 

Other individuals placing 2nd were Cook in the 200 free in 2:00.43, Williams in the 500 free in 5:17.74 and Santi in the 100 back in 1:01.63. 

Mueller placed 3rd in the 100 breast in 1:16.58. 

The Toreadors face Ames and Fort Dodge at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, January 23, in Ames.
