Boone boys’ track team finishes 2nd at Carroll

The Boone boys’ track team finished 2nd with 86 points at the Carroll Early Bird Invite Thursday, March 27.

The Boone boys’ track team finished 2nd with 86 points at the Carroll Early Bird Invite Thursday, March 27. 

Glenwood won the meet with 175 points. 

In the field events. Jude Baumgardner placed 2nd  in the discus with a throw of 128-08 and also placed 4th in the shot put with a throw of 45-03.75. 

Top individual finishers for the Toreadors were Dorian Myers who placed 2nd in the 800-meter run in 2:09.07, Maddox McIntyre who placed 2nd in the 400-meter run in 52.66, and Jordan McCloud who placed 2nd in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.47. 

The 4×200-meter relay of Lucas Boucher, Noah Davies, Josh Ingram and Lucas Moore placed 2nd in 1:33.81, and the 4×400-meter relay of McIntyre, Drew Hayworth, Justus Frese and Bodie Brogden also placed 2nd in 3:46.26. 

The shuttle hurdle relay of Noel Mailn, Brendan Hendrick, Brogden and McCloud finished 3rd in 1:11.94, and the 4×100- meter relay of Boucher, Davies, Ingram and Moore finished 3rd in 45.35. 

The 4×800-meter relay of Ajay Braddock, Chase Mueller, Calvin Cook and Myers placed 4th in 9:10.51, and McIntyre also placed 4th in the 200-meter dash in 24.15.

Next week, the Boone boys’ track team travels to Nevada Tuesday, April 1 ,and on Thursday, April 3, and the Ogden boys and girls track teams host the Ogden co-ed meet, with the Boone boys competing at Ogden.
