
The Boone boys’ track and field team won the 4×400-meter relay at the Carroll Coed Early Bird Relays Thursday, March 26.
Boone placed sixth overall as a team with 55 points, and Glenwood won the meet with 148 points.
Relay events
Boone’s biggest moment came in the 4×400 relay, where the team of Maddox McIntyre, Noel Malin, Bodie Brogden and Jaydon Clark surged to victory with a winning time of 3:45.51.
The shuttle hurdle relay of Brenden Hedrick, Landon Youngblood, Brogden and Noel Mail finished 3rd in 1:11.91.
The 4×800-meter relay of Dorian Myers, Clark, Teddy Johnson and Ajay Braddock also placed 3rd in 9:19.87.
The sprint medley relay — Reid McClain, Bentley Stolte, McIntyre and Braddock — finished fifth in 1:45.51.
Field events
Clark had a second‑place finish in the long jump, reaching 19‑05.50, while Gabe Villalva wasn’t far behind, taking fifth at 19‑01.50.
Clark also cleared 5‑06 for fourth place in the high jump, while Issac McCloud tied for fifth at 5‑04.
Jude Baumgardner placed second in the discus with a mark of 140‑00 and added a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 44‑07.
Distance and hurdle events
In the 3200-meter run, Calvin Cook ran 11:45.67 to finish fourth.
Noel Malin earned a sixth-place finish in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.72.
