
Boone hosted Carlisle in a Raccoon River Conference doubleheader Friday, February 6, with the boys winning, 48-33, and the girls losing to the No. 5 Wildcats.
The boys held a 14–13 lead after one quarter, then erupted in the second quarter, outscoring Carlisle 21–6 to take a commanding 35–19 advantage at halftime.
The Toreadors maintained control the rest of the way, leading 48–33 after three quarters and taking the win.
Landon Myers powered Boone with 19 points, shooting 8-of-12 from the field and 3-of-4 at the line.
Hendrix Moorman added 17 points, fueled by 5-of-8 from three-point land.
Brandon Holm chipped in 13 points, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Boone won the rebounding battle as Myers was a force inside with 18 rebounds (4 offensive), plus a block and a steal.
Moorman added 8 rebounds, including 2 on the offensive end, and Holm contributed 4 rebounds.
Cole Christeson had 6 assists and just 2 turnovers.
Abel Tungesvik and Myers each added 2 assists.
Boone improves to 1–13 in the Raccoon River Conference and 4–14 overall.
Carlisle falls to 4–10 in the conference and 7–11 overall.
No. 5 Carlisle defeats Boone girls, 51–11
The Boone girls faced a challenge against No. 5 Carlisle, which entered the night undefeated, and the Wildcats lived up to their ranking in a 51–11 victory.
Kyra Darby led Boone with 5 points—a three-pointer and a field goal.
Whitney Chesnut knocked down a three-pointer for 3 points.
Halle Johnson added 3 points on a made three.
Boone falls to 2–12 in the conference and 5–14 overall.
Carlisle stays unbeaten at 14–0 in the conference and 19–0 overall.
Both Boone teams travel to Adel on Tuesday, February 10, for another Raccoon River Conference doubleheader—this time against Adel–DeSoto–Minburn.
