BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council wanted to keep the City Wide Clean-up, but city staff did not have time to put everything together last spring. So, the Clean-up has been moved to this fall and will begin next week on the northside of Mamie Eisenhower Avenue. Some other changes have been made from previous years including stricter enforcement of the guidelines, especially the size of the loads and rejecting loads that are considered unacceptable.
Public Works will be picking up tires and appliances, but there are associated costs for that, essentially what it costs at the landfill. Electronics and appliance drop offs will also be held at he city shed at established times.
