BOONE, Iowa—Since September, a Boone Community Recreation Complex Task Force has been working with ISG, and architectural and engineering firm, to prepare a concept for a possible recreational complex in Boone. One of the two planned Open Houses will be held Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Boone City Hall Auditorium. Work so far has included information from a Boone Community Recreation Complex Survey conducted in October and a series of listening sessions also during October. The Monday open house does not include a formal presentation but will be an opportunity for the public to view and provide feedback on concepts that have been developed. A second open house is scheduled for late January and will feature information on potential sites.
