BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Road Department has a second bridge replacement project beginning today. This project was originally scheduled for late in 2024, but bids far exceeded the estimated costs. The plans were reworked and have incorporated Boone County Standards which is expected to make the project more affordable.
The Boone County Road Department Notification:
Bridge replacement on County Road 310th St. 1/4 mile west of Violet Ave. Construction operations to replace the existing 5 ton bridge are projected to begin the week of March 24th, and are expected to be completed within 8 weeks, weather dependent. The road will be closed at the bridge to thru traffic for the duration of construction. Access for local residents will be maintained for the duration of construction. The traveling public is urged to use caution during the construction of this project.
