KWBG 11/19/25

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors confirms the departure of Executive Director Jennifer Hanson. Jennifer submitted and the Executive Board accepted her resignation last week.

“The Board acknowledges Jennifer Hanson’s service to the Chamber and wishes her success in her future endeavors,” said Julie Trepa, Board President. “Our mission to foster economic growth and champion local businesses remains our primary focus. Our organization is on sound financial standing and we are moving forward immediately and confidently to ensure seamless operational continuity.  As our county and community grow we are excited about future collaboration that makes our local Boone County Chamber uniquely ours.”

The Boone County Chamber Board has implemented a clear strategy to ensure stability and recruit a dynamic new leader.

  • Interim Oversight: A dedicated temporary leadership structure, including key Board members, has been immediately put in place to oversee operations and critical member initiatives, guaranteeing all scheduled programs continue without interruption.
  • Executive Search: The Board has authorized the immediate launch of a comprehensive search for the next Executive Director. We are seeking an experienced professional to champion the interests of our local businesses, enhance regional partnerships, and guide the Chamber’s strategic vision. A formal application process will be announced next week.

“We are fully confident in the resilience of our organization and our ability to attract an exceptional leader ready to maximize the long-term economic benefits for the entire region,” Trepa added. The Board encourages members and community partners to direct any immediate questions regarding operations or membership services to info@boonecountychamber.com.
