BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Community Foundation Board will be hosting their annual foundation Informational Meeting on January 7, 2026 from Noon-1:00 pm at the Boone County ISU Extension and Outreach Office (1327 SE Marshall Street in Boone, Iowa). Cookies and coffee will be provided. The goal of this meeting is to provide those planning on applying with the tools needed to complete the foundation grant application process. Board representatives will be covering the history of the Boone County Foundation, learning about the scope of past grant awardees, the grant application process, review the timeline of grant acceptance and approval and hold a discussion of what makes an excellent grant application.
It’s hoped that participants will gain valuable insight into what the board is looking for and how their final grant awards are selected. Attendance to apply is not required.
Last year, 30 Boone County Organizations were awarded close to $169,388 in grant monies from the Foundation.
