BOONE, Iowa—Unofficial elections results from the Boone County Auditor shows that Boone County voters support Rob Sand for Governor but voters for the Republican candidates in all the other Federal and State races.
The Sand Muhlbauer ticket received 6742 votes to the 5926 votes secured by the Lahn Wulf ticket. Voters supported Ashley Hinson with 6046 votes to Josh Turek’s 5782. Chris McGowan outpolled Dave Dawson 6412 to 5658.
Locally, Boone County voters supported District 48 Representative Chad Behn over Benjamin Olson by a margin of 6948 to 5425 and with Story County votes added to the unofficial total Behn had 8058 votes to 6897 for Olson.
Voters in the Madrid School District did support the $4.3m Bond Issue to begin improvements on the High School facilities. The district includes areas in Boone, Polk and Dallas Counties. With two of the three reporting there were 1366 yes votes to 513 no votes.
