The Boone High School cross country teams competed in the Raccoon River Conference meet on Monday, October 13, hosted by Bondurant-Farrar, with the girls finishing 6th and boys finishing 8th.
Whitney Chesnut led the way for the Toreadors, placing 10th overall with a time of 19:58.07.
Reagan Morgan followed with a 14th-place finish in 20:48.80.
Morgan Chesnut finished 35th in 22:11.13, while Elin Selby and Bryana Morgan rounded out Boone’s scoring with times of 23:37.78 and 23:54.34, respectively.
The Boone girls finished 6th as a team with 152 points, while Gilbert claimed the conference title with 64 points.
Dorian Myers paced the Boone boys, finishing 29th in 18:03.29.
Kam Lehman followed in 42nd place with a time of 19:01.32, and Calvin Cook came in 48th at 19:44.30.
Owen Hill and Wyatt Johnson completed the scoring for Boone.
The boys team placed 8th overall with 223 points, while Gilbert dominated the meet with just 22 points.

Boone will now prepare for the Class 3A State Cross Country Qualifying Meet on Wednesday, October 22, at a location yet to be determined.
