The Boone girls’ cross country team won the Boone Invitational held at Cedar Point Golf Course on Thursday, Oct. 10.
Boone had 33 points, Gilbert JV was second with 39 points and Ogden was third with 55 points.
The Toreador girls all had personal records or season best times at home.
Emma Thomas was the girls champion with a personal record of 21:00.66, and Morgan Chesnut took 2nd with a personal record of 21.44.33.
Lynneah Pickering was 7th with a personal record of 22:57.19.
Bry Morgan was 10th with a season best time of 23:39.90, and Poppy Malone was 13th with a season best time of 24:28.80.
For Ogden, Addison Trusler finished 3rd with a personal record of 22:13, and Samantha Lass was 4th in 22:20.
McKenzie Spencer was 17th in 25:06, and Elyse Fisher finished 18th with a personal record of 25:52.
Rounding out the scoring for Ogden was Brylie Hicks in 22nd place in 29:13 and Ava Wohlwend in 23rd in 30:51.
Next week, both Boone and Ogden will compete in their respective conference meets.
Ogden will run on Thursday, Oct. 17, at Guthrie Center, and Boone will run on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Huxley.
Ogden competes in the West Central Conference against Pleasantville, Adair-Casey-Guthrie Center, Des Moines Christian, West Central Valley (Stuart), Woodward-Granger, Interstate 35 (Truro), Madrid, Van Meter and Panorama.
Boone competes in the Raccoon River Conference against Bondurant-Farrar, Winterset, Adel-De Soto-Minburn, Gilbert, Carroll, North Polk, Carlisle and Ballard.
