
Poppy Malone led Boone with a third-place finish at 110 pounds.
After a first-round bye, Malone stormed through the bracket with a 14-second pin over Isabella Millizer (West Marshall) and a fall in 1:31 against Nicole Wittrig (Nevada) to reach the semifinals.
Despite a loss to Serenity Turner (Knoxville), Malone bounced back in the third-place match, pinning Jayva Gomez (South Tama) in just 1:16.
Cadence Heggen at 190 finished in 7th place, earning a fall and a forfeit win in placement matches.
Gracie Vodenik at 155 finished in 8th place, highlighted by a pin in the second round.
At 145 pounds, Abigail Molitor battled through the consolation bracket and reeled off three straight wins.
Reese Majors at 120, Johanna Meeks at 125 and Emersyn Zehner at 140 each picked up wins in the consolation rounds.
Boone will return to the mat Friday, December 5, at the Woodward-Granger Tournament.
