Boone Little League’s Intermediate All Stars entered the day with hopes of earning a spot in the Little League World series. A match up of Iowa teams would leave Boone 1 game shy of this World Series goal as they fell to Iowa (Sergeant Bluff) 8-4 in a Central Region Semifinal game.
Henry Wright, Duke Darby, Noah Gorman and Macon Robinson all drove in runs for Boone as a late rally came up a bit short. Boone ends its season with a 3rd place regional finish. Iowa (Sergeant Bluff) will take on Indiana for the Central Region Championship.
