Boone Man Dies In Dallas County Accident

BOONE, Iowa—A 75 year old Boone man, Larry Don Adams, died as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 in Dallas County near Granger. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident that occurred Monday morning at 9:10.

According to the crash report a semi, operated by 40 year old Matthew Olszewski of Cookeville, Tennessee was traveling north on Highway 17 and made a left turn onto Broadway Street and was struck by a car traveling south on Highway 17, driven by 43 year old Adam Choruzek of Grand Junction, Iowa. Choruzek and another passenger, 48 year old Kathy O’Brien of Grand Junction were flown from the scene, Choruzek to MercyOne in Des Moines and O’Brien to the University of Iowa via Des Moines Methodist. Adams, a second passenger riding with Choruzek, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was apparently not injured.

Dallas County EMS and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
