BOONE, Iowa—A 41 year old Boone man is hospitalized in Des Moines following a Friday morning accident that occurred west of Ogden on U.S. Highway 30 at “E” Avenue. According to the initial crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Erik Creger was headed west, making a left turn at “E” Avenue and failed to yield for an on coming east bound truck driven by 42 year old Nathan Phippen of Coon Rapids, Iowa. Creger was taken from the scene by Lifeflight to UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. There has not been an update on his condition. There is no report that Phippen sustained any injuries. The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by multiple agencies.
