BOONE, Iowa—Governor Kim Reynolds announced Wednesday that swimming pools could open for lap swimming and swimming lessons. With the announcement, the Boone Park Commission has scheduled a special meeting for Thursday evening at 7:00 to discuss the Governor’s announcement and the steps that need to be taken should Commission decide to follow the Governor’s announcement. Even if the Commission decides to proceed, it will still take several days to prepare the pool for public use.
