BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Police Department has passed along a reminder to prepare for traffic congestion during the Farm Progress Show held east of Boone at the Central Iowa Expo Site, September 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
This event draws over 100,000 visitors from around the world which means that traffic on Hwy 30 will be HEAVY all three days. Traffic will be heaviest in the evenings from 3:00 pm. – 7:00 pm. Because of the heavy east – west traffic, citizens who normally use Snedden Dr. and Quill Ave or SE Marshall and Crown Flair interchanges at Hwy 30, are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to use an alternate route during these three days.
