
BOONE, Iowa—The Boone RAGBRAI 2026 organizational committee announced Monday night that the entertainment for the July 21st overnight stop will feature Hairball with Rival 5. Hairball was also the featured entertainment 15 years ago due the last overnight stop for RAGBRAI. BJ McGinn heads the Entertainment Committee said they began early with their effort to secure entertainment. He also said more will be added as plans come together. Entertainment will be located on South Story Street which will closed for the event.
Kris Blocker, Executive Director of Visit Boone County, heads the organizational committee and is joined by Andy Bartlett, Manager of the Ledges State Park. The two co-chaired the last RAGBRAI visit in 2018. The Monday meeting was the first informational meeting with plans to hold additional meetings for updates monthly.
Other committees include Sponsorship, Vendors, Housing, Camping, Volunteers, Marketing and Maps, Public Safety and Health and Sanitation.
For those wondering about the route, RAGBRAI will not announce that until April 3rd.
