The Boone girls swim team split their dual meet on Tuesday, October 14, at the Newton YMCA.
Boone fell to host Newton, 58-36, but won against Carroll, 51-43.
Avery Howie dominated in the 200 Meter Freestyle, winning with a time of 2:20.63, and also took first in the 100 Meter Freestyle at 1:04.14.
Makenzie Klatt placed 2nd in the 400 Meter Freestyle (5:08.92) and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:32.48).
Morgan Cox added a 4th-place finish in the 200 Free (2:35.86) and 6th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:35.66).
Quinn Houston and Brenna Bruck placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the 100 Meter Butterfly.
Claire Enabnit and Sara Gute placed 3rd and 4th in the 100 Backstroke.
Boone’s 200 Meter Freestyle Relay team of Gute, Quinn Houston, Klatt, and Howie finished 2nd in 2:05.62.
Boone’s 200 Meter Medley Relay team of Klatt, Harper Houston, Finley Houser, and Quinn Houston placed 3rd with a time of 2:23.46.
The 400 Meter Freestyle Relay team of Howie, Houser, Quinn Houston, and Gute placed 3rd with a time of 4:36.73.
Boone travels to Indianola for a dual meet on Thursday, October 16, with action beginning at 5:30 p.m.
