The Boone boys’ swim team capped its season with a 10th place finish at the Iowa High School State Swimming Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 13–14, at the University of Iowa Aquatic Center in Iowa City.
Senior Isaac Clark closed his career with a 2nd place finish in the 50 freestyle and a 6th place finish in the 100 freestyle in the finals on Saturday.
Clark was runner‑up in the 50 in 20.63 and was 6th in the 100 in 46.32.
Boone’s 200 and 400 freestyle relays both finished in the top 5 on Saturday.
The team of Carson Mueggenberg (senior), Clark, Simon Enabnit (senior), and Brady Hyman (freshman) charged to a 4th‑place finish in 1:25.47 in the 200 free relay.
Boone closed out the meet with Mueggenberg, Hyman, Enabnit and Clark combining for 5th place in 3:10.51 in the 400 free relay.
Saturday’s meet opened with Enabnit, Calvin Cook (junior), Cooper Jensen (sophomore), and Isaac Winey (sophomore) teaming up for 14th place in the 200 medley relay in 1:40.22.
On Friday, Enabnit competed in the 200 IM prelims and Jensen competed in the 100 fly prelims, but they did not advance to the finals.
Hyman also competed in the prelims for the 50 free and 100 free on Friday but did not advance to the finals.

The Toreadors finished 10th with 94 points out of 24 scoring teams at state.
Boone ended ahead of programs such as Carroll, Newton, Sioux City West, Dubuque Senior and Southeast Polk.
Iowa City West won the team championship with 224 points.
In addition, Boone won the 64th annual Toreador Relays in December and also won the North Central Swim Conference Meet in January.
The team also had an undefeated dual meet record at 10-0.
Finally, Clark was named North Central Swim Conference Swimmer of the Year, and Coach Chris Mann was named district coach of the year.
