The Boone swimmers scored a 2nd place finish at Grinnell with 317 points on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Grinnell won the meet with 387 points, while Williamsburg was 3rd with 193 points and Vinton-Shellsburg was 4th with 60 points.
Boone crowned two champions at the meet.
Claire Enabnit won the 200 free in 2:18.29 and also placed 2nd in the 500 free in 6:12.76.
Avery Howie won the 100 back in 1:06.70 and additionally finished 2nd in the 200 IM in 2:32.64.
Brooke Lile was runner-up in two events. She placed 2nd in the 100 fly in 1:15.25 and 2nd in the 100 breast in 1:19.71.
Tessa Gute placed 4th in the 50 free in 28.26 and was 5th in the 100 free in 1:04.49.
Hailey Olson placed 3rd in diving with a score of 152.70.
Boone had two 2nd place finishes in the relays.
Howie, Lile, Enabnit and Tessa Gute placed 2nd in the 200 medley relay in 2:03.76 and also placed 2nd in the 200 free relay in 1:53.38.
Dani Goudie, Sara Gute, Rachel Ungs and Avery Overland placed 3rd in the 400 free relay in 4:32.51.
Next week, the Toreadors travel to Carroll on Tuesday, Oct. 8, to take on the Tigers.
