Boone swimmers sweep Carroll triangular

The Boone Toreadors boys’ swim team earned dual wins over Carroll (51–43) and Atlantic (78–16) Thursday, December 18, at Carroll High School.

The Boone Toreadors boys’ swim team earned dual wins over Carroll (51–43) and Atlantic (78–16) Thursday, December 18, at Carroll High School. 

Isaac Clark continued his stellar season, winning the 200 IM (2:03.33) and 100 Free (48.03). 

Brady Hyman took first in the 50 Free (23.25) and added a third-place finish in the 100 Back (1:02.85). 

Simon Enabnit placed second in the 100 Fly (59.91) and 100 Back (1:00.27). 

Calvin Cook finished second in the 200 Free (2:01.20) and 100 Free (54.49). 

Cooper Jensen earned second in the 50 Free (24.70) and second in the 500 Free (5:42.09). 

Other contributors included Isaac Winey (second in 200 Free, fourth in 100 Fly), Bryan Anderson (third in 500 Free) and Wes Schuler (fifth in 100 Breast). 

The 200 Medley Relay of Clark, Cook. Jensen, and Carson Mueggenberg placed second in 1:43.87. 

The 200 Free Relay finished second in 1:33.58 with Enabnit, Hyman, Winey, and Mueggenberg. 

The 400 Free Relay of Winey, Clark, Enabnit, and Hyman closed the meet with a commanding win in 3:27.68.

The Toreadors now head into the holiday break with momentum and an overall record of 16–7. 

Boone returns to action on Saturday, January 3, at the East Classic in Des Moines.
