Boone volleyball drops two conference matches

The Boone volleyball team dropped matches to Winterset on Monday, October 13, and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn on Tuesday, October 14, both in straight sets.

The Boone volleyball team faced a tough stretch in Raccoon River Conference play this week. 

The Toreadors dropped matches to Winterset on Monday, October 13, and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn on Tuesday, October 14, both in straight sets. 

Winterset 3, Boone 0 

Boone traveled to Winterset for a conference matchup Monday. 

Jenna Johnson led the offense with 17 assists and added 6 digs and 2 ace serves. 

Tria Hoyle paced the attack with 7 kills, while Madelyn Davidson contributed 2 blocks at the net. 

Taylor Arringdale matched Johnson with 6 digs, and Claire Hardinger and Nevaeh Krambeer each served 100 percent. 

ADM 3, Boone 0 

Boone returned home to face ADM Tuesday. 

Johnson continued her consistent setting with 15 assists. 

Davidson led the team with 6 kills, while Delaney Good anchored the defense with 8 digs. 

Arringdale added 2 ace serves, and Hardinger served 100 percent, including 1 ace. 

Boone now sits at 1-6 in the Raccoon River Conference and 8-13 overall. 

The Toreadors will close out their regular season and conference schedule on Thursday, October 16, traveling to face Carroll (0-6 conference, 15-18 overall).
