The Boone volleyball team picked up two wins at their home tournament Saturday, September 27, and improved to 5-9 on the season.
Boone 2, Fort Dodge 0
Boone swept Fort Dodge 2-0.
Jenna Johnson led the offense with 7 assists, while Delaney Good and Tria Hoyle each contributed 2 kills.
Madelyn Davidson added a block, and Karsyn Smith had 9 digs.
Neveah Krambeer landed 3 aces from the service line and was 10 of 11 on attempts.
Boone 2, Forest City 1
Boone also edged out Forest City in a 2-1 victory.
Hoyle was dominant at the net with 7 kills and served 100 percent.
Baylee Bunning led the back row with 7 digs and added 3 aces on 9-of-10 serving.
Ames 2, Boone 0
Boone fell to Ames in straight sets, 2-0.
Jenna Johnson led the offense with 6 assists, and Hoyle recorded 4 kills.
Davidson added a block to anchor the defense, and Halle Johnson tallied 6 digs.
Smith finished with 100 percent serving.
Knoxville 2, Boone 0
Boone also fell to Knoxville, 2-0.
Jenna Johnson led the offense with 9 assists, while also nailing 3 serve aces on100 percent serving.
Hoyle recorded 4 kills, and Smith had 10 digs.
Boone remains 0-4 in conference play but will look to turn the tide on Tuesday, September 30, when they host Carlisle (5-16 overall, 0-3 conference) at 7:15 p.m.
The game is also Youth Volleyball Night, with youth volleyball players receiving free admission.
