BOONE, Iowa—Boone Water Works is required to provide an annual report about potable water production. The report covers the calendar year 2022. There was a violation noted that had occurred last August when a test revealed a higher level of turbidity. Personnel noted the cause was filter related and was quickly corrected. Water Works personnel also test for nitrates and reported no issues for 2022. Tests are also conducted for copper and lead and results last year show Boone Water Works met all the established parameters. This Consumer Confidence Report was submitted by USW Utility Group. The company is in charge of the operation at both the Boone Water Works and Water Environment Plant for the City of Boone.
