National Public Lands Day will be Saturday, September 27 and both the Ledges State Park offers a chance to volunteer and appreciate our public lands. This year, Boone County Conservation is also planning an event featuring their remnant prairie with a presentation from Dr. Tom Rosburg. She talks about the actions of the students to let people know about the matter and then the way staff handled the situation. She also talks about the review of the results from the Iowa Statewide Assessment.
