Marty Lamoureux, Board Member, Boone County Historical Society, visits about the recent meeting of the Historical Society Board of Directors. The meeting, open to the public, was held at the Historical Center on March 4th. A routine update on the business of the board is provided. Lamoureux also talks about capital projects like an elevator replacement project and upgrading the HVAC systems. There's an effort underway to record interviews with Korean and Vietnam Veterans by Ron Russell. And, there's the reminder about memberships including renewals. Aired Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Dr. Julie Trepa, Superintendent, Boone Community School District visits about the Boone School Board Meeting. The Board did accept a bid for a roofing project at Franklin Elementary. The bid, just under $580,000 was submitted by Central States Roofing from Ames and will begin in June. Trepa also talked about the agreement with the Boone Education Association and the Board's approval for the District's Budget Reduction Plan, expected to be just over $500,000.

Community and Family Resources does have a counselor available to focus on gambling addiction. She also talks about other addiction services available from CFR. CFR also participates in the Boone County SAFE Program. Aired Monday, March 10, 2025.
