John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling. Roosa provides updates on the monthly Household Hazardous Waste Collections, the first Saturday of each month during the season. However, the next event will be held in Boone at the DMACC Boone Campus and will coincide with the city’s annual cleanup. Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the Boone City Council Meeting held May 5th. The Council did take formal action during the meeting to officially make Ondrea Elmquist the new Boone City Administrator. The Council received the audit report from Kevin Houston. The Council also received an update from Holly Stecker, Downtown Boone Mainstreet Director. The Council also approved letting the Farmers Market locate for the season at 628 Story Street. Stines noted that the Council did not take action on bids for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Headworks Improvement Project. Work will now begin to rebid that project. Aired Tuesday, May 06, 2025.

There are three performances this week Thursday and Friday evening and a matinee on Saturday. Tickets available at the door, 711 Story Street or on line at Boone Community Theatre.org. The two are also handling the summer youth camps, in June and July. Multiple productions are being planned. Aired Monday, May 05, 2025.
