Boone Mayor Eli Stines talks about this week's City Council meeting. The biggest issue to generate discussion was an amended Downtown Boone Main Street Agreement. The proposed an agreement that identified a voting board member on the Main Street Board as a Boone City Council member. The Main Street Board amended the language to a Boone City Official. The Boone City Council tabled action on the agreement to work out the differences. The Mayor talked about the issue and the hope that the matter can be resolved. Aired Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Andy Bartlett, Manager, Ledges State Park talks about the upcoming annual meeting held by park staff to review the year and begin presenting information about what will be coming up in the next year, 2025. Bartlett says the DNR District Forester has created a draft Ledges State Park Forest Stewardship Plan. Public comments are being sought on the plan and it will be part of the meeting, Thursday, December 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Boone City Hall Auditorium. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. Aired Monday, December 16, 2024.

BJ McGinn, Interim Executive Campus Dean, DMACC Boone Campus visits about wrapping up the fall semester. Only a couple of basketball games remain. Spring semester will begin after the first of the year and numbers look good at this time. McGinn said athletic programs are performing well. He noted that successful Cross Country programs will be participating in Track. The recruit for the competitive Dance Team will be visiting campus next week. Aired Friday, December 13, 2024.
