Julie Trepa, Superintendent, Boone Community School District talks about the recent school board meeting. Trepa did talk about recent decisions by the board to being moving ahead with earlier recommendations for facility improvements. They will work on the athletic facilities Master Plan. Trepa also talked about the discussion on requiring all Juniors to take the ACT Test. For several years, the District has paid for all juniors to take the test. Aired Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling. Roosa talks about the progress being made in reducing some of the solid waste entering the Boone County Landfill. Early data shows a reduction, but more needs to be done. He also reminds residents that yard waste is accepted without charge of Thursday, Friday and Saturday thru November 15th. He also updates on work planned for the collection of cardboard, and their current business recycling program. Aired Wednesday, November 06, 2024.
