This weekend will feature the DMACC Basketball Classic and Founders Club Events. Earlier in the week, there was Veterans events. And, the 22-Pushup Challenge in the middle of the week. Right now, a couple of weeks of wrapping up Fall Semester, Spring Enrollment is well underway. Aired Friday, November 15, 2024.

Boone Police Chief John Wiebold joins Sgt. Ryan Palmer on the Monthly Visit to talks about Public Safety. We received an update on the Shop With A Cop program, coming up December 12th. We visited about the Snow Ordinance and how people can stay informed about when the ordinance is in effect. We also visited about stepped up law enforcement efforts over the holidays and more. Every November the display turns to Veteran's and she says there are several uniforms that have not been included previously. She also says she would like to collect information for Vietnam Era Veterans for next November and explains how to make contact. She also talks about the upcoming soup supper fund raiser on December 5th and also reminds everyone that now is the time to consider renewing memberships. Aired Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Trepa did talk about recent decisions by the board to being moving ahead with earlier recommendations for facility improvements. They will work on the athletic facilities Master Plan. Trepa also talked about the discussion on requiring all Juniors to take the ACT Test. For several years, the District has paid for all juniors to take the test. Aired Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling. Roosa talks about the progress being made in reducing some of the solid waste entering the Boone County Landfill. Early data shows a reduction, but more needs to be done. He also reminds residents that yard waste is accepted without charge of Thursday, Friday and Saturday thru November 15th. He also updates on work planned for the collection of cardboard, and their current business recycling program. Aired Wednesday, November 06, 2024.

He also reported that Kris Blocker presented information on the amount of tourism dollars generated in Boone County. Stines also noted the Council approved by resolution a form to be used for those seeking to plant trees on city parking. He also said the Council did approve the second reading of an ordinance prohibiting the feeding of deer in the city. The Council also voted 5-1 to extend open burning until November 27th. Erickson is cast as Dr. Dorothy Watson. She also talks about auditions for Seussical coming up this Friday and Saturday. Erickson will be one of three teaming up to direct the production.
