Dr. Julie Trepa, Superintendent, Boone Community School District talks about the recent school board meeting and the presentation of the audit report. She also talked about the Boone School District's applications for the modified supplemental amount of funding for the School Budget Review Committee. Boone did have two applications and she pointed out that all school districts are taking similar action this month. Aired Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Hanson reviewed 2024 and looked ahead at some new things they hope to incorporate in 2025. She's very excited about some leadership training programs. Aired Thursday December 05, 2024.

John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling talks about recycling during the holidays. A perfect example is Christmas wrap. He said most Christmas wrap may not be recyclable due to components that will contaminate recycling. He says the shiny parts usually have a metal component, or glitter on the wrapping paper. He said they are planning to Tree-cycle real Christmas trees. But they need to be clean and free of tinsel and ornaments. More details are expected later this month. Talked also about snow removal requirements, did not have an excessive amount of properties last year. Skare talks about nuisance abatements, a priority of the council.
