Ondrea Elmquist, Assistant Administrator for Boone, talks about the process used by the City in their budget preparations. She explained how work begins, involving Department Heads and the process to eventually bring a budget to Council for consideration. This year that included a balanced budget with no change in the levy rate. She explains how the CIP or Capital Improvement Plan is developed and updated and how that's used for budget planning. The CIP is a five year plan. She also talked about the Council's decision to retain Hinson, LLC to assist in the search for a new City Administrator. Aired Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Routine programs are on the calendar in March, but there are also a number of programs that may involve Leprechauns or Librarians. There is also a whole week of events and activities for Spring Break the week of March 17th. Aired Friday, February 21, 2025.

She talks about the amount of work done to meet established guidelines and how strategic goals have been set in four categorical areas. He also talks about what the City of Boone is trying to do with some revisions in their City Wide Clean up guidelines. Roosa says the Landfill's Comprehensive Plan is currently being updated, a mandate by the Iowa DNR. Aired Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Boone Area Veterans Center, Mike Gibbs and Fred Greiner are on hand to talk about the brief history of the project. Members of Boone Veteran organizations have actually talked about the idea for over ten years. Gibbs explained that once they decided to move forward they began searching for a site, working with the City and Chad Houston of Kruck Plumbing and Heating, they finally got a location. Demolition took place and now fund raising for the building project is getting underway. Fred Greiner is chairing that committee. Aired Monday, February 17, 2025.
