She says absenteeism is up due to illness. She also encourages parents not to send sick children to school. She talked about next year’s school calendar. The Board adopted it Monday. There are no more early outs on Wednesday’s in the 25-26 school year. She also talks about the budget work the Board will be addressing, noting that 2% increases in funding from the state can’t keep up 3% and 4% increases in the cost operating. Skare says the Council has a preliminary budget that will keep the same property tax rate for the next fiscal year.
