She let us know that a record amount was received with a significant focus on the hospitals "Project Be the Light". Katie Darby, Tour of Homes and A Festival of Trees. The Tour of Homes in Boone County, now in it’s 6th Year continues to raise funds to support Wings of Refuge assisting women rescued from trafficking. This year an added feature, A Festival of Trees at the Iowa Arboretum. The Arboretum, also home to Tree House Village which is also expected to be decorated. Aired Thursday, November 21, 2024

The current business recycling effort will gradually change over to focus on more cardboard recycling. Boone County Recycling now has a now truck that should prove to be more efficient and offer better opportunities to stream line services. Aired Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council meeting held Monday, November 18th. Stines talked about the public hearings and actions taken by the Council to adopt the Southwest Boone Housing Urban Renewal Plan and an associated Development Agreement for the construction of 53 single family homes. He also talked about the series of contracts with SEH Engineering for projects at both the water and waste water plants and for the design of the extended Hancock Drive to serve the Daisy location. Aired Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

This weekend will feature the DMACC Basketball Classic and Founders Club Events. Earlier in the week, there was Veterans events. And, the 22-Pushup Challenge in the middle of the week. Right now, a couple of weeks of wrapping up Fall Semester, Spring Enrollment is well underway. Aired Friday, November 15, 2024.
