Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the Boone City Council Meeting. Stines talked about the work done to handle Disinfection Biproduct Changes at Waterworks. A successful pilot program to deal with the matter does require automated monitoring for the DNR. Stines also reports the City was successful with a RISE Grant Application to the DOT. Three more performances remain next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Auditions for "Miss Holmes" will be held Monday and Tuesday evening at 7:00 at Boone Community Theatre, 711 Story Street. He also talks about the Saturday Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, this Saturday in Madrid. Roosa also updates plans to improve efficiency in the recycling of cardboard with the planned purchase of a compactor truck. Aired Wednesday, October 02, 2024.
