BOONE, Iowa—Chad Michael Hudson, 49, of Boone, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, surrounded by his family. he was born on June 18, 1973, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Larry and Connie (Ash) Hudson. On July 12, 1997, he married Stefanie Springis at the Central Christian Church in Boone.
In his healthier years, Chad loved watching his children participate in their activities which included: wrestling, football, baseball, swimming, diving, softball, and dance. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and playing a little bit of golf. Northern Minnesota was one of his favorite places to spend time in the summer. Chad loved to spend time with his grandsons. When his first granddaughter arrived in July of 2022, she had him wrapped around her little finger from day one.
Chad will never be forgotten by his family and friends, so we won’t say goodbye because that implies forever. Instead, we will say see you when we see you.
We will cherish our memories, and you will live in our hearts forever.
Chad is survived by his wife, Stefanie Hudson of Boone, IA; children: Jocelyn, Kane, Kyle, Kaylee, and Khloe; three grandchildren: Ryland, Sawyer, and Harmony; parents, Connie (Mike) Linn and Larry (Sue) Hudson; sister, Stacie; brother, Ron (Jill); mother-in-law, Gina Springis; sister-in-law, Vikki (Chad) Elsberry; sister-in-law, Melanie (Jon) Musfeldt, along with several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Also, his feline companion, Bug.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family to be used at their discretion and should be sent to Stefanie Hudson at 2101 Cedar Street, Boone, Iowa 50036.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone.
