Boone’s girls cross country team wrapped up a successful season with two runners competing at the Class 3A Iowa High School Cross Country Championships held Friday afternoon, October 31, at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course north of Fort Dodge.
Whitney Chesnut led the way for Boone, placing 34th overall with a time of 19:41.2.
Emma Thomas finished 71st in 20:30.3.
The team’s season was marked by consistent improvement and standout performances, including team titles at both the Ogden Invitational and the North Polk Invite.
