BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works has closed Argo Street, immediately east of the Boone County Fair Grounds for the run of the Boone County Fair. The closure is done annually and lasts until Monday, July 23rd. Argo Street is closed to traffic from the Industrial Park Road to 10th Street. Even though the road is closed, there will still be quite a bit of fair related traffic into and out of the fairgrounds and the fairgrounds camp ground area.
Those that will be attending the fair should also remember there are some restrictions on parking. People are encouraged to use the parking lot space east of the fairgrounds, right east of Champa Street.
