With us on coach's corner, KWBG gonna talk a madrid volleyball hand of vile joining us as the Tigers boy kind of wrapping things up They've got interstate 35 that will come to madrid on the 13th and coach Then we then we get ready for postseason, which I guess we wait to see you tomorrow afternoon. What what the Tigers fate is? Yeah, I'm super excited for Tuesday senior night get to celebrate the six girls that We have at home and you know get a home game and then Looking forward to tomorrow figuring out what the step is after that Well, you guys had your a pinkout tournament over the weekend coach had a chance to go one and two on the day got a nice victory Against Erlen where you had a couple of real after really hand of that that one has to be a little bit of a highlight Just because you lose that first set 21 to 11 and then you take the next two Must have had a what a good pep talk in between sets there, Hannah Yeah, and we can made a couple changes kind of tried a couple new things and that worked really well But just kind of saw that fire To start to develop in them and then then push and they know that that third set that can be a tough one mentally and they Got out strong and they just they kept it Yeah, that's that's a nice one I mean that was a Erlen team that just a couple of weeks ago had got you guys in three straight So girls had to be feeling real good and it looked like to Rylan Velke had a pretty big match for I saw that she had 13 assists in that match and you're serving coach 92% one of your high points Yeah, we are doing a great. I think this is one of the best years we've had with serving and then Smart serving to ace's wife. So yeah, everything came together that game and it was a great way to end the day Well, then you get a chance to to go to Pleasantville for a trying their last night against panorama and Also Pleasantville look like the the panorama match was pretty competitive coach Pleasantville was pretty competitive It looked like in that last set Yeah, two great teams Fun to play them panorama has great middles. I know you've probably seen them play right We just we kind of had a tough night passing, but you know our setters work their butts off to get the ball up and Set the ball up in lots of great swings and kills in that set Just that momentum keeping it throughout the set well a couple girls I wanted to talk about today coach and I wanted to start off with Ila fine and just What a fantastic senior season she's had and it feels like Doesn't feel like she's been here long enough coach. We need her for one more year. Can we get a red shirt for her?
Yeah, she's done a great job in her role of outside. I think last night one of the game she had 11 kills, you know, three errors Doing a great job working on that shot selection other things that she can do and Just the back row It's a great job. Well, it just feels like with Ila that we we step up to the you know service line and She is going to find a way to to not just get a you know a good serve across the net But something that's going to have a chance for you guys to score off it Yeah, she's got a nice jump serve which is new this year. She worked on that during club Um, so that float jump serve just it offers a different, you know, that's hard to pass Yeah, very very much so uh jayla hands and somebody else who we've really enjoyed talking about and another senior that 37 blocks on the season. She does such a great job with her net play feels like the confidence level with her has gotten so much better Her senior year. Tell me about jayla a little bit She's she's awesome. Um, she's a great leader. She works hard. She can jump out of the gym And she can hang when she jumps to But yeah, just she played club two and so much growth in her ability to read the ball. She's up there. She's super aggressive um She's got awesome hands. She's a monster at the net. Yeah, and then with her hitting too She just she's always aggressive. She takes rips at the ball And she's developed such a smart awareness of where to put the ball into the court So a great a great player to have in that position Well, i35 will be your last uh regular season opponent and obviously they come to madrid on tuesday Coach a very comparable team to you guys that they're sitting a uh with just a couple of wins Well, actually just one win so far in the conference this season about five wins on the season. This should be a very competitive match I'm gonna guess on tuesday night yeah, um excited again for that home game to kind of have that advantage and that celebration but Yeah, just focusing on what we can do and you know, are serving in our passing to You know, hopefully get another conference win and send our seniors off the best we can yeah, best way to do it Hannah, we'll see you in the post season best of luck coming up on tuesday night Thank you.
