Coleman, Ellis medalists at Ogden meet

Maddie Ellis was medalist for the Ogden girls, and Jace Coleman was medalist for the boys at a triangular Friday, May 9, at Don Williams Golf Course.

Maddie Ellis was medalist for the Ogden girls, and Jace Coleman was medalist for the boys at a triangular Friday, May 9, at Don Williams Golf Course. 

The Ogden girls won the meet, shooting a 190, while the boys placed 2nd, shooting a 162. 

Ellis was low scorer for the Bulldogs, shooting a 42. 

Olivia Coleman and Laurell Schlenker each shot a 49 while Meredith Kruse shot a 50. 

For the boys, Jace Coleman was low scorer with a 37. 

Jace Benbow and Deacon Mitchell each shot a 40 while Gavin Miller shot a 45.

The boys will compete at the 2A sectional meet at East Sac County Wednesday, May 14. 

Teams in the sectional include East Sa County, Carroll Kuemper Catholic, Manson-Northwest Webster, Ogden, Panorama, South Central Calhoun, Southeast Valley and Woodward-Granger. 

The girls will compete at the Class 1A, Region 3A meet Friday, May 16 at Jewell Golf and Country Club. 

Teams in the region include South Hamltion, Ogden, West Hancock, Colo-Nesco, Belmond-Klemme, West Fork, Algona Bishop Garrigan and Madrid.
