BOONE, Iowa—Colleen Elaine (Elliott) Jones age 66, of Boone, Iowa gained her wings on June 9, 2022 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa surrounded by her loving husband.
Colleen was born on October 5, 1955 to Clinton and Janice (Williams) Elliott in Boone, Iowa. She was a graduate of Boone High School with the class of 1974. She was united in marriage to Robert Allen Jones on June 29, 1974 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone, Iowa. The two made a life together in Boone, Iowa with their three children Aimee, Carrie, and Jason. She was a teacher’s associate at Boone Schools for 6 years; she retired and then worked as a crossing guard for Boone Schools for a few years. She spent the rest of her life being a homemaker.
Colleen was an avid crafter. Her specialties were quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed driving her 1999 Convertible Mustang that she received for her 45th wedding anniversary. She was always wanting to go to the store to find her a new purse; she had a love for her purses! She enjoyed listening to her husband sing and play the guitar. However, number one on her list of favorite things to do was spend time with her family. She enjoyed seeing her grandkids and great grandkids.
Left to cherish Colleens memory are her husband; Robert Jones; Daughters Aimee (Jason) Bane of Perry, Iowa; Carrie (David) Olson of Gardner, Kansas; her son Jason Jones of Boone, Iowa; grandchildren Elizabeth (Bobby) Morman; Jordan (Doug) Bane-Harlan; Kendra Schmidt; Curtis Jones; Rylie Olson; Alison Bane; Noah Cowan; Danica Bane; Ava Jones; Preston Jones; great grandchildren; Emmalee and Austen Morman; her three brothers and sister, many extended family and friends.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Janice Elliott, Father-In-Law David Jones; aunts, uncles, cousins and her two dogs Emily and Grace.
Please join the family on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 to celebrate Colleen’s life at Gutterridge Park, 410 Park Ave. Boone, Iowa 50036 from 11: 00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorials can be directed to the Kidney and Diabetes Foundation.
