BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Arts Advisory Board, in conjunction with the City of Boone held the 2nd Annual Community Christmas Celebration Thursday afternoon and evening. This year there were two Christmas Shows in the Boone City Hall Auditorium, both filled with over 300-people attending. The Holiday Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony were attended over a thousand, and many children on hand for Santa Claus.
The Boone County Historical Society planned on serving about 200 this year, doubling the number from last year and actually ran out of soup early.
