BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council’s Economic Development Committee will review and made a recommendation to the City Council about endorsing and following guiding principals for building rehabilitation, renovation, remodeling and new construction in the Boone Central Business District. The guidelines were developed by staff at Iowa Mainstreet as a tool for local use in developing and preserving designated areas. The Building Design Guidelines will help property owners and developers planning for any building or building improvements with the designated area, especially with historic preservation in mind.
