BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Attorney Matt Speers office makes available a summary of court cases handled through the Boone County Attorney’s office:

COURT SUMMARIES

3-9-25 – 3-20-26

– Jesse Lee McCollaugh, 46, Boone, appeared in District Associate Court and was found to have violated the terms of his probation. The Court revoked the probation and sentenced the defendant to the original 2 years in prison on an original charge of Violation of Sex Offender Registry, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

– Robert Curtis Woody, 48, Norwalk, was sentenced by the District Court following guilty pleas to OWI 3rd, a Class D Felony; and, Carrying Weapons While Under the Influence, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with completion of a Residential OWI Program, completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, a drinking drivers course, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Andy Jay Aldrich, 45, Boone, was sentenced by the District Associate Court following a guilty plea to Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year in jail, with all but 2 days suspended. On the suspended portion, the defendant was placed on probation with terms to include completion of a substance abuse evaluation with follow through of treatment, a batterer’s education course, plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Benjamin Sanchez Styles, 43, Des Moines, was sentenced by the District Court following a guilty plea Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 120 days in jail plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

– Dalton Lee Ray, 27, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following guilty pleas to Interference with Official Acts and Assault, both Simple Misdemeanors. The defendant was sentenced to 30 days, all suspended. On the suspended portion the defendant was placed on probation with terms plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Amanda Lynn Beattie, 40, Boone, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Theft 5th, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Deland Santel Stanley, 38, Des Moines, was sentenced by the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Disorderly Conduct, a Simple Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.

– Cori Beth Jewett, 49, Stratford, received a deferred judgment from the Magistrate Court following a guilty plea to Theft 5th, a Simple Misdemeanor. On the deferred the defendant was placed on probation with terms plus payment of a fine and fees. The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department.
