BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Engineer’s Office has announced that work on a county drain in eastern Boone County will cause “X” Avenue to be closed to through traffic between 220th and 230th Streets for about two-days, beginning Wednesday. Hall Tile and Backhoe is the contractor making repairs on the county drain which will include removing and replacing the county main under “X” Avenue. Those that normally travel on “X” Avenue between 220th and 230th Street should plan to avoid the area at least on Wednesday and Thursday.
