Debra Chadourne

BOONE, Iowa—Debra Ann Chadourne, 64, of Boone, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at her home.

Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone.  Following the visitation cremation will take place.

Debra was born June 22, 1959, in Boone, the daughter of Ross “Bud” and Violet Mae (Thorn) Ahrens.  She graduated from Boone High School in 1977 and then attended and graduated from DMACC to obtain her LPN License.

Debra had worked at the Boone County Hospital, Ledges Manor and the Evangelical Free Church Home, until she retired due to her health.  She was an avid Hawkeye fan, Debra was known to get her children out of school early, so that they could attend Hawkeye basketball and football games.

Debra lived for her children and grandchildren.  Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart and she tried to make sure they had as much fun as possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents and longtime companion, Thomas Linderblood.

Debra is survived by her three children, Jason Chadourne of Boone, Stacey Chadourne of Boone and Jessica (Nick Wright) Chadourne of Minneapolis, MN; nine grandchildren, Everett, Alexys, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Mason, Adyson, Alana, and Oslo; two sisters, Cindy Corley of Venus, TX and Rhonda Jay of Boone.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone.
