Downtown Trick/Trunk or Treat, Thursday in Boone

KWBG 10/28/20

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Chamber of Commerce is about as ready as can be for the annual Downtown Trick/Trunk or Treat! It will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and according to a statement on the Chamber Facebook page, parents and guardians are encouraged to take time ahead of the event and pass along some basic rules for safety.

1. We ask that everyone wear a COVID-approved safety mask (in addition to your costume mask).
2. Keep your family together and maintain social distancing between other groups.
3. No matter where you enter Story Street, proceed through the event counter-clockwise (note arrows n map) to provide an orderly and smooth flow from business-to-trunk-to-business.
4. Participating businesses will be placing candy in the bags or buckets for the children to reduce contact points.
Remember, Story Street will be closed to traffic during the event and that will include cross traffic on 7th and 8th Streets.
