BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Sheriff Gregg Elsberry has reported that deputies from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department were sent to the scene of a single vehicle accident, Wednesday about 12:25 p.m., in the 1100 Block of 130th Street, east of Twister Hill. According to the investigation, 73 year old Clarence Bass of Ogden, Iowa was traveling west on 130th Street, approaching Twister Hill, when his car left the roadway and struck a tree on the northside of the road. Bass was pronounced dead at the scene. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation. The Boone Fire Department and Boone County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
